"Christine was there to urge and guide me through the fogginess and ambivalence accompanying a project that started in 2001. I expressed to her one day my desire to swim around Manhattan in the Manhattan Island marathon swim - 26+ miles! I have completed one big step leading up to the swim, the Boston Lighthouse Swim - 8 miles in the first part of August.
"Each session with Christine would start with my confusion, hesitancy, and timidness about following through with the many logistics of the swim. I was on my own and it was hard and scary at times to put myself out there when so many variables could and would go awry. Christine always helped me clear my head so we could focus on the small incremental projects necessary to complete the swim. In 2003 I finished without the aid of a wet suit! I had completed my goal. I believed I could do it, I wanted to do it and Christine was there to help sort all the input and help me stay on track."
